Maastohenkisiä uutuusfarmareita: CrossPassat ja Peugeot 508 SW Outdoor

Volkswagen on tuomassa uusitusta Passat-mallistaan nelivetoista ja maastohenkistä CrossPassat-versiota vuosimalliksi 2012 tämän vuoden syksyllä. Hieman korkeampi (+20 mm) maavara, alustan ja korin suojat sekä 4motion-neliveto tekevät hyvin varustellusta autosta soveltuvan myös hieman heikommille teille. Moottorivalikoimaan tulevat todennäköisimmin kaksilitrainen diesel sekä iso V6-bensiinimoottori.
Maastohenkiset lisäykset istuvat mukavasti myös uuden Passatin ulkonäköön.
Passatin tuoreimmasta kilpailijamallista, Peugeot 508:sta on myös odotettavissa samoihin aikoihin markkinoille tuleva Outdoor-versio. Peugeotin nelivetojärjestelmä tulee muodostumaan valmistajan Hybrid4-järjestelmästä, joka yhdistää kaksilitraisen dieselin ja taka-akselille voimaa tuottavan sähkömoottorin.
Peugeot 508 SW Outdoor on maustettu totuttuun tapaan lokasuojia ja helmoja kiertävillä suojamuoveilla.
On aavisteltu että molemmat automallit saattaisivat olla esillä jo maaliskuun alussa Geneven autonäyttelyssä, Passat viimeistään syksyllä Frankfurtissa.
Peugeotin Hybrid4-nelivetoratkaisu muodostuu dieselistä ja taka-akselille voimansa antavasta sähkömoottorista.
