Honda CR-V 2.2i-DTEC A ja VW Tiguan 2.0 TDI DSG: Kovat katumaasturit

Molemmissa vertailuautoissa lasikatto vaikuttaa tunnelman lisäksi pääntilan määrään. CR-V:ssä erityisesti tasainen lattia lisää tilan tuntua.
Lajityypin kompakti SUV kantaisä on Honda CR-V. Yksi toisensa jälkeen lähes kaikki muut merkit ovat tehneet sille kilpailijan. Yhtenä viimeisimmistä suurista autovalmistajista Volkswagenkin tuli lopulta 2007 havittelemaan omaa siivuaan myyntikakusta Tiguanilla. Mutta sisäänpääsy Hondan juhliin ei käy helposti. Vuosien etumatka on paaluttanut sille vahvat asemat.
Nissan Qashqai ja Volvo XC60 ovat etuvetoversioidensa avittamana myyntitilastoissa Honda CR-V:n edellä. Kun huomioidaan vain nelivetoiset, CR-V hallitsee Suomessa kompaktien katumaasturien markkinoita suvereenisti. Toissavuonna niitä ensirekisteröitiin Suomessa 1526 ja viime vuonna 1260 kappaletta. Tiguanin vastaavat luvut ovat 453 ja 463. Kumpaakin vertailun autoa valmistetaan ainoastaan nelivetoisena.
CR-V:ssä lattia on kynnyksen tasolla. Suurten esineiden jälkeen reunoille voi vielä sovitella paljon pientä tavaraa.
Hondassa on 2,2-litrainen DOHC i-DTEC -dieselmoottori (110 kW, 350 Nm) ja sen jatkeena 5-vaihteinen, momentinmuuntimellinen automaatti. Volkswagenin 2.0 TDI on pienempi ja litrateholtaan aavistuksen korkeampi (103 kW, 320 Nm) vaikka jääkin lukemissa Hondalle. VW:ssä on 7-portainen kaksikytkinvaihteisto, jota voi halutessaan komentaa myös käsin. Hondan perinteisen tyyppisessä automaatissa on tavanomaiseen tapaan kolmen pienimmän vaihteen lukitusmahdollisuus, muttei varsinaista käsikäyttöä.
Tiguanissa tavarat nostetaan kyytiin korkean kynnyksen yli. Selkeämuotoisen tavaratilan alla ei ole tilaa varapyörälle.
Perushinnaltaan vertailun Excecutive Advanced -huippuvarusteilla oleva Honda on kymppitonnin kilpakumppaniaan kalliimpi. Elegance-varusteltu auto olisi 43 319 eurolla lähinnä Sport & Style -varusteisen Tiguanin 42027 euroa. Testi-Tiguanin lisävarustelu kaksoisksenoneista lasikattoon kuitenkin hilaa sen hinnan 50 695 euroon. Jos Tiguaniin ottaisi vielä vaihtoehdoista paremman navigaattorin, oltaisiin Testi-Hondaa korkeammassa lopputuloksessa. Varusteissa, niiden saatavuudessa ja hinnoissa mallit nokittelevat toisiaan vuorotellen ilman merkittävää kokonaiseroa. Kyseessä on lopulta enemmän kunkin itse asettamat painoarvot eri varusteille.
Pitävällä pinnalla Honda osoittautui kovemmaksi kiihtymään. Pidon heikentyessä Volkswagenin nelivetojärjestelmä saa voiman tiehen paljon kilpakumppaniaan tehokkaammin. Jos sellaista haluaa harrastaa, Tiguan tarjoaa paljon paremmat edellytykset auton hallintaan kaasupolkimella. Tiguanin kahden tonnin perävaunupaino on 500 kiloa CR-V:lle sallittua enemmän.
Polttoaineen kulutuksessa Honda yllätti ennakkotietoihin nähden positiivisesti päästen testilenkillä täpärästi haastajaansa pienempään keskikulutuslukemaan.
Dieselmoottorisen Honda CR-V:n maavara on 170 millimetriä. Tiguanissa on täyteen kuormattunakin enemmän, 200 millimetriä.
Matkustajien kannalta Tiguanin istuinpaikkojen toteutus on onnistuneempi, joskin isokokoiset saattavat mieluummin hakeutua CR-V:n avarammalle kuljettajan paikalle. Yleisesti tiloissa Honda on onnistunut paremmin. Autoon kulku ja tavaroiden kuormaus sujuu siinä helpommin ja tiloissa on enemmän avaruutta kuin mitä mittanauha paljastaa.
Ostajat ovat oikeassa, tavanomaiseen henkilöautokäyttöön Honda CR-V on edelleen oiva valinta. Jos vaatii autolta erityisempiä kykyjä, niitä löytää Volkswagen Tiguanista.
