Sveitsiläinen Frank M. Rinderknecht on esitellyt virittämiään autoja Genèven autonäyttelyssä vuodesta 1992. Hänen autokalustonsa on toisinaan hieman erikoislaatuista, kuten vuoden 2008 sukeltava auto sQuba tai vuonna 2005 esitelty sporttinen Chopster, joka perustui Porsche Cayenneen.
Vuonna 2012 on vuorossa reilusti erikoisvarusteltu Smart Fortwo -sähköauto sekä tyyliin hienosti sointuva perävaunu. Yhdistelmä tuntee nimen Rinspeed Dock+Go.
Pack-nimen tuntevalla perävaunulla on useampia funktioita, eli saatavilla on erilaisia perävaunuja eri tarkoituksiin. Pääajatuksena on, että eräs vaunumalleista toimii Smartin sähköisenä lisälähteenä.
Silloin, kun Smartin normaali 120 kilometrin toimintamatka ei kerta kaikkiaan riitä, Pack-perävaunu tarjoaa loistavan avun.
Rinspeedin mukaan valinnaisesti Range Extenderiksi, toimintamatkan kasvattajaksi saa polttomoottorin tai polttokennon lataamat akut. Niiden avulla voi ajaa huomattavasti pitemmälle, joka arkiliikenteen “ahmivassa” sähkökulutuksessa voi hyvinkin olla ratkaisevan tärkeää, maantieajosta puhumattakaan..
Kun Packia ei käytetä, sen saa piilotetuksi kotitalliin, jossa se voi antaa lisätukea mahdolliselle, omakotitalon katolle olevalle aurinkopaneelille.
Rinspeedin valikoimassa on tarjolla myös camping-, golf-, hiihto-, ranta- ja Party-vaunuja.
