Tuleva Mitsubishi Outlander säväyttää

Uusi, entistä näyttävämpi Mitsubishi Outlander esittäytyy Genèven autonäyttelyssä 8.–18. maaliskuuta. Outlander-katumaasturin kolmas sukupolvi tulee myyntiin eri puolilla maailmaa. Kesällä sen myynti aloitetaan Venäjällä. Loppukesästä seuraavat Eurooppa, Japani, Oseania, Kiina sekä Pohjois-Amerikka.
SUV:n muotokieli mukailee selvästi muita Mitsubishi-malleja. Kookkaasta jäähdytinsäleiköstä on luovuttu ja Mitsubishi painottaa omien sanojensa mukaan ympäristöystävällistä tekniikkaa sekä vihreitä materiaaleja.
Clean Diesel-moottorien ohella uudessa Outlanderissa on hyödynnetty myös kerättyjä kokemuksia Mitsubishi i-MiEV -sähköautosta. Luvassa siis lienee pistokehybridi.
Ensi aallossa markkinoille saadaan kuitenkin tavanomaisia moottoriratkaisuja: kaksilitrainen bensiininelikko sekä 2,2-litrainen turbodiesel, joiden tehoja ei toistaiseksi paljasteta.
Kumpaankin moottoriversioon saa etu- tai nelivedon. Lisäksi kuvioissa ovat Start/Stop -sammutusautomatiikka sekä uudelleen kehitetty kuusiportainen automaattivaihteisto.
Uuden Outlanderin pitäisi pystyä parhaimmillaan alle 130 g/km päästöihin ja noin viiden litran keskikulutukseen sadalla.
Mukavuusvarusteisiiin on luvassa kaksialueilmastointi sekä kolmas istuinrivi. Lisävarusteena saa esimerkiksi tehokkaat Wide Vision -ksenonvalot, törmäyksenestojärjestelmän sekä kaistavahdin.
