SKUUPPI: Chrysler 300 C? Ei, vaan Lancia Thema!

Jo tämän kevään Geneven näyttelyssä esitellään uusi Chrysler 300 C, jota tullaan jatkossa myymään Euroopan markkinoilla Lanciana. Mallinimeä spekuloidaan yhä, mutta yhtenä tämän hetken vahvimmista veikkauksista taitaa olla Thema. Alusta perustuu Mercedes-Benzin W 210 -sarjaan vuosilta 1995-2000.
Moottorit eroavat suuresti Atlantin molemmin puolin. USA:ssa Chrysler 300 C myydään perinteisesti sedanina, jonka konepellin alla murisee isoimmillaan 5,7-litrainen V8 (360 hv), kun taas Lancian lippulaivassa on isoimpana moottorina Chryslerin uusi 3,6-litrainen V6 Pentastar (292 hv). Euroopassa odotetaan Fiatin omistaman VM Motorin tekemän 3.0 V6 -turbodieselin (240 hv/550 Nm) osuudeksi 80 prosenttia myynnistä.
Euroopassa Chrysler 300 C:n myynnistä puolet on ollut farmareita, mutta tässä myllerryksessä korimallin tuotanto lopetetaan ja sedan jää ainoaksi vaihtoehdoksi.
