BMW M1 Coupé on keräilykapine parhaasta päästä

Tämän oranssin metallihohtoisen kaksiovisen konehuoneessa asustaa kaksi tuulikonetta, jotka saavat tarvittaessa korvat suhisemaan. Detroitin näyttelyssä kuluvan vuoden alussa esiteltyä ykkössarjan M Coupe -mallia ei saatu toistaiseksi Suomeen kuin kahdeksan kappaletta, joista käytännössä kaikki myytiin saman tien. Kun tällä autolla on ajanut, ei kummastele, miksi niin.
Kyseessä onkin heti uudesta keräilyauto, vieläpä sanan parhaassa merkityksessä, sillä raivoisan suorituskyvyn vastapainoksi 2+2-mallisella pystyy epäcoupemaisesti kuljettamaan kohtuullisen paljon tavaraakin.
Nopea M1 Coupe kiihtyy nollasta sataan vain 4,9 sekunnissa.
Kun kuusisylinterisestä rivikoneesta otetaan tehoa 340 hv korkealla 5900 kierroksella tämän kokoisessa korissa, ja kun alla on takaveto, luvassa on hieno yhdistelmä.
Suurinta vääntöä saadaan 450 Nm poikkeuksellisen laajalla 1500-4500 kierroksella, ja yliahdolla kaasu pohjassa vieläpä hetkellisesti 500 Nm, ohituksia varten.
Pitävät Michelin Pilotit edustavat keskenään eri kokoa: keulalla kokoa 245/35 ZR 19, kun taka-akselilla on leveämmät 265/35 ZR 19 töppöset.
GT-istuimet antavat loistavan tuen joka suuntaan.
Nollasta sataan taittuu tällä laitteella hätäiseen 4,9 sekuntiin. Se on nopeaa etenemistä, aikuisten oikeasti. Siksi 1 M Coupé onkin omimmillaan radalla.
Mittasimme testimme keskikulutukseksi väliin reippaallakin kaasun käytöllä – onhan tällaista kierrosmoottoria pakko välillä ulkoiluttaa – 9,9 l/100 km, joka asettuu lähelle tehtaan antamaa 9,6 litran lukemaa. Se on tällaisin tehoin täysin asiallinen arvo.
Alusta tuntuu juuri niin tanakalta kuin tällaiselta autolta voi odottaa, ja sähköisen ohjaustehostimen keskialuetuntuma on jämpti.
Ajoasennosta saa kunnollisten GT-istuimien ansiosta aivan loistavan. Takaistuimelle mahtuu yllättäen pitkäjalkainenkin henkilö, ja sinne (ja pois) myös pääsee vaivattomasti.
BMW M1 Coupe on auto, jollainen kuuluisi mieluusti monen autotalliin. Tai vähintäänkin virtuaali-autotalliin! Sen alkaen-hinta on 74 769 euroa.
